Leda Contogiannopoulou: Painting
Painter Leda Contogiannopoulou presents works from the last decade as well as her new line of work. The exhibition is hosted at 16 Fokionos Negri from the 22nd January until 9th February.
According to art historian Ira Papapostolou “Leda Contogiannopoulou’s realism in her work is characterised by her obsession with drawing in detail, while having elements such as a unique perspective that she uses to depict a space by various angles”.
Born in Athens in 1971, Leda Contogiannopoulou graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts in 2000 under Jannis Psychopedis. She has presented her work in six solo exhibitions: Chrysothemis (2000), Art Gallery 24 (2006), Gavras Art Gallery (2008 and 2010) and Epsilon Art Gallery (2008 and 2011) and has participated in many group exhibitions. Ιn 2003 she participated at Sotheby’s auction “International Young Artists”. She lives and works in Athens.
