Exploring the City and Nature through Printmaking | Printmaking Workshop for children aged 10-12
Join us for a hands-on, creative adventure in the world of printmaking! This special workshop, designed for children aged 10-12, invites children to explore the fascinating technique of relief printing using rubber tiles. Guided by students from the School of Fine Arts at the University of Ioannina — Marina Pappa, Xenia Giannoulatou, and Giannis Karagiannopoulos—participants will delve into two captivating themes: “Among Roots, Leaves, and Flowers” and “The City’s Imprint.”
Through these themes, children will discover how to blend the serene beauty of nature with the vibrant energy of urban landscapes. They will create unique prints that tell stories of towering trees, blooming flowers, winding roots, bustling streets, and architectural wonders. The workshop encourages participants to imagine a world where nature and the city coexist harmoniously, fostering both creativity and environmental awareness.
